The DBS Hydrofoil Mixer is designed to generate high axial flow with minimal turbulence, drawing fluid from above the impellor and discharging it downward to create strong top-to-bottom circulation. This pattern efficiently turns over the tank volume while maintaining solids in suspension and preventing settling.

Applications requiring special motors of high horsepower can be accommodated. DBS also builds custom Hydrofoil Mixers for specialized industrial applications or retrofit replacements.
DBS Hydrofoil Mixers maximize pumping capacity while minimizing power input. The hydrofoil blades move large volumes of fluid with low drag, producing high flow per horsepower. Equipped with a high efficiency speed reducer, the design minimizes parasitic power loses while maximizing power transferred to the fluid.
High service factors ensure the speed reducer achieves a calculated life exceeding 100,000 hours. The heavy-duty output bearings provide reliable support against loads imposed on the impeller. Additionally, an oversized drive shaft and robust machine frame minimize deflection and vibrations to ensure long-term reliability.
Wetted parts are manufactured from stainless steel, or other corrosion resistant materials depending on the application. Special coatings and materials can be used upon request for aggressive or highly corrosive environments.
